I'm in a really happy place when I find a new author and series that just is so darn good that I can't put the book down. It doesn't matter what genre it is - contemporary, paranormal, romantic suspense, military, historical - if that author sweeps my reader mind away to his or her characters and settings in a way that everything else falls away. It's a keeper and I'll recommend it highly.That said if you like and/or love romantic suspense and military romances, get out and purchase Tina Wainscott's new books, Wild Hearts (prequel) and Wild on You (book one), in her Justiss Alliance series. They are fabulous, can't-put-it-down, page-turning reads.
I was given Wild on You by Tina's publisher to read for review (see my review on that book's page), but before I started it, wanted to see what other titles she had out there. I quickly discovered the prequel, Wild Hearts, hit the buy button on Amazon and $0.99 later, started to read.
Oh my goodness, I am so glad I picked up that prequel, because not only does it set up the back story of the failed mission of the Navy SEAL team in Mexico, but it has character sketches of all the team members to die for. Seriously, I wanted to read more about each of them immediately, as they're so well described and interesting. None of these heroes are super heroes in an unbelievable way, but have been carefully given real-life family and friend issues to deal with in addition to the things they carry forward from their military service. Factor in their military service and you'll know these are the alpha heroes you've been looking for in a romance series. Now, if I could just get that image of Sax and the hammock out of my frost locked brain, I'd be happy, because I don't think his story will be told for a bit!
As I'm still riding the crest of adrenaline-spiked euphoria, it's an easy decision to award Wild Hearts five stars. a great introduction to Tina Wainscott's must-read, fast-paced, can't-put-it-down suspenseful series that you'll fall in love with too!

Great book read it in one day could not put it down and cannot wait for the rest in the series!!
It seems like the Justiss Alliance series will be pretty good. The prequel Wild Hearts is a short story about former Seals who go into private security.
I've read one of the later books already, but it's nice to see how it all got started. And I'm very much looking forward to reading the books between this and the one I've already read!
I love reading military stories and I loved this one it's a great start to this series. I can't wait to get started on the next one. If you like military stories you'll love this one
After reading Wild Nights I decided to go back and read the series from the beginning. This Novella perfectly sets up the characters and background for the stories to come. While it is not necessary to understand future books, I advise reading it just to wet your curiosity because once you do, you will be hooked.
Meet the team. This is how the series begins. Ms. Wainscott introduces the main male characters of the Justice Alliance series. You are along for the ride of their last mission as a SEAL team. You are given some of the backstory of each SEAL, and you are introduced to the man behind TJA. Although his backstory is only hinted at. Good read, short book.
Ah, navy seals. Those gorgeous, ripped, alpha males. This is the story of the seal team that got thrown under the bus by the government.
Rick "Risk" Yarbrough's team was sent into Mexico to take care of a cartel leader who was playing both sides. He was working with the US Govt., but only so he could get the money/arms he needed to build his own little empire. The govt. has an inside man, who set everything up for the team
Only the insider was playing both sides of the fence, too. When the team got inside the compound, everything went south. Their leader got killed, and the "Rogue Six" Navy Seals got discharged. Honorably, but they can't tell anyone what happened, or even defend themselves.
This is the prequel to the series, which I am going to assume will have a book about each of the guys. This book gives the background of the team members, and a chapter about each of them, that gives you some insight into their characters. The book piqued my interest in the series. The guys are all characters, and I was pleasantly surprised by this book. There is not much of a plot, it is more of a background for the series. Book 1( Wild on You) and 2( Wild Ways) are available now, with book 3 (WIld Nights) available for preorder.
